DMCA and Copyright
LunarWerx respects copyright, and we act on notices about material stored on our services. This page tells you who to send a notice to, what a notice needs to contain, what we do when one arrives, and how to dispute a removal. Last updated: September 17, 2026.
1. Our designated agent
Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(2), we have designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed infringement. These are the agent's details exactly as registered with the United States Copyright Office. Publishing them here is not a courtesy: the statute requires both the registration and this page, and either one on its own does nothing.
- Copyright Manager
- LUNARWERX LLC

Registered with the United States Copyright Office, registration number DMCA-1080637, effective September 17, 2026. You can confirm it yourself in the Office's public DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
Email is the fastest route and the one we watch. Please send copyright notices to copyright@lunarwerx.com rather than our general contact address, so your notice reaches the right person the same day.
2. What this page covers
LUNARWERX LLC is the legal entity operating lunarwerx.com and the products we publish under our own name, including Tavern Bag, RepoYeti, SharingTime, AnatomyOf, QuickDictate, SageThumbs and AgentHydra. The complete and authoritative list of names covered by our registration is public in the directory linked above, and that list is the one to trust if anything here is out of date.
Two things on our projects page are separate companies with their own copyright agents, and a notice about them should go to that company rather than to us. Connections is operated by Connections Global LLC. Accredited Capitalists is its own company too. If you are not sure who to write to, send it to us anyway and we will tell you where it belongs rather than letting it sit.
3. How to send a notice of claimed infringement
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3)(A), a written notice should include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. Where one notice covers several works on a single site, a representative list of them is enough.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it. A direct link is ideal. A page title, a work title, a username or a screenshot also works.
- Your contact details: an address, a telephone number and an email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
We will act on an incomplete notice too. Those elements matter for the legal process, not for whether we listen to you. If something of yours is on one of our services and should not be, tell us in plain language and we will deal with it.
4. What we do when a notice arrives
- We remove or disable access to the material expeditiously. In practice that means within one business day, and always within three.
- We keep a record of the notice, what came down, and who acted on it.
- If the claim covers a whole work rather than one page of it, we remove the whole work.
- If a user uploaded the material, it counts against that account under the repeat infringer policy below, and we tell them why.
- We take reasonable steps to notify whoever posted the material, and we pass on your notice so they can respond to it.
5. Counter notice: disputing a removal
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter notice to the same agent above. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(g)(3) it should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed, and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where you live, or, if you are outside the United States, for any district in which we may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or from their agent.
We forward a valid counter notice to whoever sent the original notice. If they do not tell us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we put the material back. The statute gives us a window of not less than ten and not more than fourteen business days for that, and we use it.
6. Repeat infringers
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. That is a condition of the safe harbour under 17 U.S.C. 512(i), and we treat it as one rather than as a sentence in a document.
How it works in practice depends on the product, because our products are not all the same shape. Where a product has accounts and hosts material that users upload, a valid notice against material a user uploaded is a strike against that account, repeated strikes suspend the account, and further strikes terminate it and remove what that account uploaded. Tavern Bag publishes its exact strike counts on its own DMCA page, and that page governs Tavern Bag. Where a product has no accounts and stores nothing a user uploaded, there is nothing to strike, and a notice is handled by removing the material.
We also terminate outright, without counting strikes, where an account is plainly being used to redistribute someone else's commercial work to other people.
7. A word about false notices
17 U.S.C. 512(f) makes a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, liable for the damages and legal costs that misrepresentation causes. It cuts both ways, and it applies to notices and counter notices alike. Please be sure before you send either one.
8. Other legal notices
This page covers copyright only. For everything else see our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. General legal notices go to contact@lunarwerx.com. Copyright notices go to copyright@lunarwerx.com, which is the address on file with the Copyright Office.
